Informational Sites
This page has basic information about the AdminSystem when used to support informational sites. The CBJ Digital AdminSystem works intuitively and requires no specialist IT training or knowledge of HTML.
The AdminSystem allows the client to undertake the following from his or her own office:
- Upload pictures (in digital format) and captions and other relevant data. (Meaningful captions can help Search Engine visibility.)
- Update all website pages, and the text and images showing on those pages, the on-line picture editor allows for resizing and cropping of uploaded images before presentation on the website.
- The CBJ Digital AdminSystem includes a powerful picture editor for cropping and resizing images before they are put on web display. The image cropping and resizing system allows for upload of zipped image files, automatic unzipping, and automatic manipulation according to the image constraints that have been set within the particular (CSS) template being populated (horizontal pixel size, vertical pixel size or both).
- Add / delete / change navigation bar buttons and change the structure of the site within the constraints of the available templates.
- Add, modify or delete content or pictures, video and other material as required.
- Upload and manage other documents and media files e.g. pdf files, large images (such as tiffs for printing) etc.
- Order composite pages according to predetermined parameters such as date or alphabetic criteria.
"Templates" in this context means the design of the web page insofar as it is prepared and developed to allow text, images and navigation items to be uploaded and amended according to predetermined rules of layout and manner of dealing with fonts (size and type). CBJ Digital uses Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for template construction. All sites automatically conform with W3C standards of accessibility.
